Spectral Groups

Epina ImageLab supports the parallel handling of up to four different spectroscopic domains per pixel (multisensor imaging). A particular spectrum has to be stored in consecutive layers of the data cube. All layers belonging to the same spectrum are assigned to a group number (1...4) which is stored in the meta information of the dataset. A group number of zero indicates that the corresponding layer does not belong to a spectrum, but contains other information (for example a physical property).

Please note that a spectral group may contain several different calibration ranges (if the wavlength of the corresponding spectrum is calibrated by a piecewise calibration funtion). For technical details please see the desription of the meta data format.
